Key points
- Many operators offer casino games and sports betting under one account, but the wallet, bonuses and licences can be separate.
- Check whether one balance covers both products, or whether you must transfer between wallets.
- Casino bonuses usually cannot be wagered on sports, and sports bonuses have their own minimum odds and rollover rules.
- A licence for one product does not always cover the other. Check both with your national regulator.
One account, two products
A casino with a sportsbook lets you bet on sports and play casino games after a single registration. Behind the shared login, the two products are often handled differently.
| Setup | How it works | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Single wallet | One balance is usable in both the casino and the sportsbook | An active bonus may lock the whole balance until its wagering is complete |
| Separate wallets | You move money between casino and sports balances | Transfers can be blocked while a bonus is active; check before you deposit |
| Separate brands, shared login | The same group runs two sites | Terms, limits and even the licensing company can differ |
How bonuses interact
Welcome offers are usually tied to one product. A casino bonus normally has to be wagered on casino games, often with low or no contribution from table and live games. A sports bonus usually requires a rollover at minimum odds, for example 1.50 or higher, and can exclude system bets or cash-out.
Example: a €50 sports free bet with "stake not returned" pays only the profit. Placed at odds of 3.00, a winning free bet pays €100 profit, not €150. Some regulators restrict mixed offers: in Great Britain, promotions that combine different products, such as betting and casino, have been banned since 19 January 2026.
Sports betting basics to check
- Margin. Add up the implied probabilities of a market (1 ÷ odds for each outcome). The amount over 100% is the bookmaker's margin.
- Settlement rules. Rules for abandoned matches, extra time, retirements in tennis and dead heats differ between bookmakers.
- Cash-out. Cash-out is optional and priced by the bookmaker. It often includes a further margin.
- Limits. Maximum stakes and winnings per bet or per day are set in the terms.
Licensing: check both products
Some countries license betting and casino separately. A company can hold a betting licence without a casino licence. Germany's GGL white list shows which product each operator is approved for. In Norway, exclusive rights apply to both betting and casino games, and unlicensed sites are DNS-blocked. In Finland, betting and online casino games open to licensed competition from 1 July 2027; until then Veikkaus holds exclusive rights. For your country, start with our European regulation hub.
Crypto or fiat?
Combined sites increasingly accept crypto. If you plan to bet in coins, read crypto sportsbooks for how settlement and conversion work, and the payment guides for Bitcoin, Litecoin and USDT.
